We are now going to setup the options in Netscape Navigator. You will not be online so that you can ignore any network error messages and click OK on them.

1) Start up Netscape Navigator (usually from the Start menu).

2) Click the Stop button to stop Netscape.

3) In the menu bar at the top of Netscape, pull down Options and select General Preferences.

4) Click on the Appearance tab and make sure that Home Page Location selected with the radio button under Start With in the Startup box. Enter http://www.netkonnect.net/ into the field below Home Page Location.

5) Click OK.

6) Select Options from the menu bar again and select Mail and News Preferences.

7) Click on the Servers tab and enter nki001.netkonnect.net into the Outgoing SMTP Server AND Incoming POP Server fields.

8) Enter your Login Name (All lowercase) that you supplied to Network Konnection, when you signed-up, into the POP User Name field.

9) Enter nothing into the News (NNTP) Server field.

10) Click on the Identity tab at the top.

11) Enter your full name into the Your Name field (NOT your login name).

12) Enter your full email address into the Your Mail field. login_name@netkonnect.net where login_name is your login name for Network Konnection. Put this value in the Reply to field also.

13) Click OK to accept values.

14) Exit Netscape.
