Setting Up Internet Explorer

We are now going to setup the options in Internet Explorer. You will not be online so that you can ignore any network error messages and click OK on them.

1) Start up Internet Explorer (usually from the Start menu).

2) Click the Stop button to stop Explorer.

3) In the menu bar at the top of Explorer, pull down Go and select Read Mail, Internet Mail window will open.

4) In the menu bar at the top of Explorer, pull down Mail and select Options.

5) Click on the Servers tab and enter nki001.netkonnect.net into the Outgoing SMTP Server AND Incoming POP Server fields.

6) Enter your Login Name (All lowercase) that you supplied to Network Konnection, when you signed-up, into the Account Name field.

7) Enter your password in the password field

8) Do not choose Login using secure password authentication.

9) Enter your full name into the Name field (NOT your login name).

10) Enter your full email address into the e-mail address field. login_name@netkonnect.net where login_name is your login name for Network Konnection.

11) Click OK to accept values.

12) Exit Internet.
